Make sure the packaging is intact before you use it. If it's damaged, don't use the blade!

Attach: Grip the blade with forceps and slide it onto the scalpel handle until it clicks. Never do this with your bare hands!

Use: The blade is for single use only; don't try to re-sterilize it.

Remove: After you're done, lift the back edge of the blade with a tool and slide it off the handle.

Dispose: Put the used blade into a sharps container for hazardous waste.
