Lemon essential oil has a clean, fresh, citrusy, vibrant scent that lifts mood and boosts energy, promoting feelings of happiness, joy and cheerfulness. It is a popular choice for refreshing the air, supporting thinking, focus and purposefulness, and helping to work through doubts and concerns. It can also be used in the presence of children. It helps to normalize excessive sebum function in oily, impure skin.
Usage: Add 5-8 drops to water in an aroma diffuser. For a refreshing massage, mix 5 drops with 1 tablespoon of avocado or jojoba oil and massage gently into the skin. To make an aromatherapy bath, mix 5 drops in 1 teaspoon of carrier oil, cream or honey and add to the bath water. To cleanse oily, dandruff-prone hair, mix 5-10 drops with 2 tablespoons of aloe vera gel, massage into the scalp, leave it on for 15-20 minutes and rinse. For saunas, add 4-6 drops to a ladle of water, make sure you mix it, then pour it over hot stones.
Warning: for external use only. Keep out of reach of children. Avoid contact with eyes. May cause skin sensitivity, so test skin before use. Do not apply undiluted essential oils on the skin! It might cause photosensitivity, so avoid sun exposure and solarium for 12 hours after use. Discontinue use if irritation occurs. Do not use it on open wounds, during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or on children under the age of five. Do not drip directly on burning candles. For saunas, do not drip it directly on hot stones, first dilute it with water.
Skin patch test: Apply a small amount of the mixture, made according to the instructions, to the inside of the cleansed, dry forearm. Cover with a gauze pad, fix with a tape and wait 24 hours. In case of skin reactions (redness, swelling, itching, blisters), remove the gauze immediately and cleanse the skin with a carrier oil or soapy warm water.
